Hubballi, February 26: The ward limits of Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) are expected to be changed.
The state government has issued an order that a redistribution of the areas will take place for the Corporation, following technical problems and confusion regarding the limits of the wards. The HDMC will now get 82 wards, said the government in a notification dated February 25.
Election to the HDMC is also awaited. The state government is expecting the election to the urban local body to be held through clarity on the limits of each ward, while there are also people wondering if there will be objection raised about the new limits set and PILs filed regarding them.
