HUBBALLI, May 07: In a bid to encourage voters’ participation in Lok Sabha polls, a few businessmen in Hubballi have introduced unique discount offers for voters.
Dairish ice cream has announced that it will distribute ice creams free of cost to those who show inked finger after exercising their franchise on Tuesday. They have outlets at Shirur Park and Keshwapur areas.
The offer is available from 11:00 am till late night, and the plan is to distribute ice cream to 10,000 people, said the Dairish outlet owners Akshay Dhanakshirur and Akshay Saraf.
Similarly, The Hans Hotel at Vidyanagar has launched a special offer ‘Democracy Discount’ under which 20% discount is offered on meals at its restaurant on Tuesday and Wednesday (May 7 and 8), for those who have exercised their franchise.
Customers need to show their finger marked with indelible ink, to avail the offer. In addition, a complementary dessert will be offered for first-time voters. For more details, call 95383 40401.
Bhaskar Dongre, who runs a roadside eatery at Durgadabail Circle, is offering idli at a concessional price of Rs five, for those who show their inked finger after voting on Tuesday. This offer is not applicable for parcels.
