Zameer Ahmed Inaugurates Maulana Azad PU College in Hubballi

HUBBALLI, Sep 1: Minister for Housing, Minority Welfare & Wakf Govt Of Karnataka BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan inaugurated the new building of the  government Maulana Azad PU College for minorities at Sadashivnagar  in Hubballi on Sunday, September 1.

Maulana Azad PU College building has been constructed under Mahatma Gandhi Urban Development Scheme (MGSVY) at an estimated cost of Rs.124.38 lakhs under the jurisdiction of Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation. The college building includes 6 teaching rooms, 1 office and separate toilets for male and female students.

“The State government has restored the minority student scholarship program that was stopped by the BJP. Education is very essential to achieve great change in the society. Parents should give good education to their children,” Zameer Ahmed Khan said.

Abbyyya Prasad, Chairman of Karnataka Slum Development Board, said that with the inauguration of Maulana Azad PU College, the dream of many days is coming true. The establishment of degree college will be emphasized in the coming days. Everyone should work hard for the development of the society.

“100 Maulana Azad schools, 100 hostels and new PU colleges are expected to start in the state. Rs. 56 thousand crores is being spent on guarantee schemes. Guarantee schemes are helpful in uplifting the backward and lower class people of the society. Everyone has the right to enjoy the wealth of the country,” he added.

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Swaroop TK, Chairman of Hubli-Dharwad Urban Development Authority Shakir Sanadi, former MP IG Sanadi, Director of Directorate of Minorities Jilani Mokhashi, board members, leaders and public were present.
