Hubballi, February 03: A youngster was killed on the spot as a NWKRTC bus plying between Hubballi-Lakshmeshwar ran over him near Electric grid on Karwar Road here on Wednesday.
According to a report, the youth was riding a pillion on a motorbike. When the rider tried to overtake a car, the pillion rider lost his balance and fell off the vehicle. The bus that was coming from behind ran over him, killing him on the spot.
The traffic police arrived at the spot and rushed the body of the youngster to KIMS Hospital.
It has been learnt that the youngster had come to Hubballi from Uttar Pradesh a few days ago for a new job.
More details are yet to be ascertained.
