Hubballi, February 02: The shops set up on the sites reserved for public service work in Suttur Layout opposite SDM were cleared by the Hubballi-Dharwad Urban Development Authority on Tuesday.
HDUDA chairman Nagesh Kalburgi had issued a notice to shop owners asking them to immediately remove their stall voluntarily. The shops selling snacks and breakfast had encroached upon the HDUDA vacant sites illegally and we running business.
Implementing the warning, the HDUDA officers and staff members cleared the shops set up on the CA lands belonging to HDUDA.
HDUDA members Yallappa Aravalada and Sunil More, commissioner Vinayak Palankar, urban planning member Vivek Karekar, executive engineer M Rajashekhar, assistant executive engineer Umesh Bevur, assistant engineers Basavaraj Devagiri, M M Sheelavanta, and R G Patil were present.
