HUBBALLI, May 24: In a bid to enhance passenger safety and comfort, the South-Western Railway (SWR) is converting two pairs of trains from conventional rakes to Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) rakes from this month.
Train No 07355 Hubballi-Rameswaram Weekly Express Special (from May 25) Train No 07356 Rameswaram-Hubballi Weekly Express (from May 26), Train No 12777 Hubballi-Kochuveli Weekly Express (from May 29), and Train No 12778 Kochuveli-Hubballi Weekly Express (from May 30) will have LHB rakes.
The revised coach composition for these trains will be one AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, two AC 3-tier economy, nine sleeper class, four general second class, one SLRD, and one brake van-cum-generator van, SWR officials said.
