These Children from Dharwad District Selected for Delhi Sports University in Wrestling Department

HUBBALLI, Aug 07: Three children from Dharwad district have been selected to get admission in Delhi Sports University (School) in the wrestling category.

“Getting selected for Delhi Sports University (School) is not an easy way. Very few students are selected from Karnataka in various streams. Out of these, three students from Dharwad district have been selected, which is a matter of pride for the district,” coach Ashok Chillannavar said.

A ninth class student Saroja Chillannavar from Unkal, a seventh class student Rahul Chavan from Dharwad and Gangotri Chavhan from Dharwad are the selected students. These students were getting coaching at Vayuputra Sports Foundation in Unkal here.

Students studying at Delhi Sports University will get training to participate in Olympics, the coach added.
