Amid the spike in Covid-19 cases, the Karnataka government has postponed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations which were scheduled to be held from June 21, according to an official release by the Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said.
The department of public instruction will monitor the COVID-19 situation and announce new dates later,
However, high school teachers had been instructed to conduct revision classes for SSLC students. Summer vacation for high school teachers is till May 31.
Earlier, the government had postponed the II PU exams and promoted first-year students. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2021 was also postponed on Wednesday.
