Lockdown To Be Relaxed In Dharwad District From June 7

Big changes in working hours for grocery stores, meat shops and restaurant takeaways/home delivery

HUBBALLI: The Dharwad district administration will relax the Covid lockdown conditions between 6 am, June 7, and 6 am, June 14. 

What this means is that the prevailing strict conditions will start easing from 6 am, Monday, June 7. Any decision on extending or relaxing the lockdown after June 14 will be announced in accordance with the directions of the Karnataka government.  Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil issued an order on Saturday, June 7, detailing the new measures.

Here are the important changes: 

1. Food, bakery, grocery, fruit and vegetable stores, dairy/milk booths and shops selling meat, fish and pet food will be allowed to open between 6 am and 10 am (four hours) from June 7 to June 14. 

2. Fair price shops will be allowed to open between 6 am and noon (six hours) from June 7 to June 14. 

3. Restaurants/eateries will be allowed to stay open between 6 am and 10 am (four hours) from June 7 to June 14 only for takeaways (parcel services). 

4. Restaurants/eateries will be allowed to stay open between 8 am and 8 pm (12 hours) from June 7 to June 14 only for home delivery of food. 

5. Bars and liquor shops will be allowed to stay open between 6 am and 10 am (four hours) from June 7 to June 14 only for takeaways (parcel services).
