HUBBALLI, Aug 2: Due to the flyover construction works, the compound wall of Idgah Maidan at Chennamma Circle in Hubballi is planned to be removed partially.
In a bid to construct two pillars of the flyover, Public Works Department (PWD) national highways division officials have written letters to Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) and Police Department seeking permission and security for this work.
Quoting an officer, DH reported, “Parts of Idgah Maidan between Chennamma Circle and Court Circle, and Chennamma Circle and Sangolli Rayanna Circle have to be cleared for flyover works. A portion of the sub-urban police station building also has to be cleared.”
