Congress Urges Police To Release Seized Vehicles

HUBBALLI: Release the vehicles seized for violating Covid norms on humanitarian grounds, urged Rajat Ullagaddimath, president of Vidyanagar Block Congress Committee.

In a memorandum submitted to the Hubballi-Dharwad police commissioner via ACP, Ullagaddimath said, “Consistently seizing vehicles which were moving unnecessarily violating covid guidelines is a commendable job.”

“However, two-wheelers are slowly getting dilapidated as monsoon has already approached. This would cost the public expenses of at least Rs 4000 to Rs 6000 (after the vehicles are release). In the current scenario, many youths have no income and are jobless. We urge you to release the vehicles on the humanitarian grounds,” Ullagaddimath urged.

Former Mayor Venkatesh Mestri, former corporator Suvarna Kalkuntla, youth leader Sunil Mathpati, Suresh Yatageri, and others were present.
