DHARWAD, FEBRUARY 16: A man who was absconding after allegedly assaulting his nephew, resulting in the latter’s death, was arrested on Monday.
Prakash Kotur had apparently been irked that his nephew Akash Kotur repeatedly visited his house in an inebriated state and created a ruckus. Akash had also not responded to any advice against drinking. A frustrated Prakash had hit Akash on the head when he was sleeping at his house on Sunday. As Akash had died of the impact of the assault, Prakash had been absconding.
Prakash, who is under police custody currently, is being questioned regarding the cause for the extreme step he took.
Suburban police have registered a case.
