Dehradun, February 16: As many as 58 bodies were recovered in Uttarakhand till Tuesday morning, following the continuous rescue operations going on in the area, post glacier disaster.
Members of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police are working with the National Disaster Response Force as well as other agencies in search of the bodies for the 10th day in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
They have found nine bodies in the Adit tunnel of the Tapovan-Vishnugad project area of the National Thermal Power Corporation. The area is covered in debris following the flash flood of February 7, as two hydel plants were damaged in the floods. The rescue team has found 15 bodies in the Tapovan tunnel so far.
The search for at least 150 more bodies is going on. The Tapovan tunnel itself is feared to have trapped 30 people.
