Accident On BRTS Corridor: Chigari Driver Had No Chance To Slow Down

HUBBALLI: The 58-year-old man who was killed on BRTS corridor on Thursday evening was an employee of ISKCON temple in Rayapur, reports TNIE.

The deceased has been identified as Lakshmikanth Sagar.

Sagar was killed when his TVS scooter was collided head-on with a BRTS bus on the flyover near Unkal Cross in Hubballi. A BRTS bus rammed into his scooter from the opposite direction when he was overtaking a BRTS bus. Subsequently, the rider succumbed to the injuries on the spot.

According to police, the BRTS driver had no chance to slow down or skip the accident.

“If the bus driver had tried to prevent the accident, the bus may have come down from the flyover risking the lives of all passengers,” TNIE quotes a BRTS official.
