HUBBALLI: Your banking activities could see a delay as nearly nine lakh employees of state-run banks, including State Bank of India, have decided to go on a two-day nationwide strike on Thursday, December 16.
The two-day strike has been called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), which is an umbrella body of nine unions. The strike has been called to protest against the government’s decision to privatise two public sector banks in the country.
State Bank of India has already informed its customers about the strike’s possible impact on banking operations.
Will ATMs Be Operational?
Yes, ATMS will be working. However, the problem will be when the cash gets exhausted. Because, replenishment may not be possible as the branches will be on strike.
