Former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan would contest as TMC candidate against Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee announced Yusuf Pathan’s name while announcing the names of candidates for all 42 seats of West Bengal.
Berhampore is currently held by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and whole the grand old party is yet to name a candidate for the seat, Chowdhury is likely to seek a recontest from the seat that he has represented five times in the Lok Sabha.
Yusuf Pathan’s brother Irfan Pathan took to X to congratulate his brother and wished him luck in his political journey.
