HUBBALLI, Nov 26: Vidyanagar police have arrested an interstate thief who had stolen a bike near Vishal Mart at Vidyanagar recently.
Vidyanagar police inspector Jayant Gouli, under the guidance of DCP (crime) Ravish CR, had formed a team to trace out the thief. In a few days after the theft, the police arrested the accused and produced him before the court. They have seized five bikes worth Rs. 2,60,000 from the accused.
Following the inquiry, the police learnt that the accused has several bike theft cases at Haliyal and Kalaghatagi as well.
