SWR Wants to Increase Speed of Hubballi-Bengaluru Trains to 130 KMPH

HUBBALLI, Feb 26:  The South Western Railway (SWR) has proposed the Railway Board to facilitate to increase the maximum speed of trains on Hubballi-Bengaluru line from existing 110 kilometer per hour to 130 km per hour.

Addressing a press conference, SWR General Manager Sanjeev Kishore said, “To provide more continence to the passengers, SWR has shared its proposal to Railway Board to increase the speed limit from 110 km per hour to 130 km per hour as doubling and electrification works on Hubballi-Bengaluru line has been completed.”

He further added that the speed limit between Bengaluru-Chennai and Bengaluru-Hyderabad has been upgraded to 160 km per hour. Earlier it was 130 km per hour. In the same way, Hubballi-Bengaluru maximum speed limit can also be increased.
