HUBBALLI,Oct 23: Milk and curd prices in Hubballi-Dharwad and other parts of North Karnataka are going up starting today (Sunday, October 23, 2022).
Kolhapur-based Mehta Dairies, which supplies a big chunk of milk and dairy products in Hubballi-Dharwad, has revised the price of full-cream (fresh pasteurised) milk by Rs 3 a litre. All other brands of milk will get costlier by Rs 2 a litre while curd will be dearer by Rs 2 per kg.
The price hike comes into effect from October 23 (October 22 evening sales), Mehta Dairies said in a public notice.
Mehta Dairies, which owns the popular Bharat Dairy and Sphurti brands, cited “increased prices paid to farmers” for the hike.
