Dharwad,Oct 21: Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade inaugurated a sophisticated Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Hematology Department at SDM Hospital at Sattur near Dharwad on Thursday.
As many as 35 beds have been dedicated for the transplant unit.
Mr. Heggade appreciated the hematology team comprising of Dr Girish Balikai, Dr Girish Kamat, and Dr Deepak Goni for their significant contribution to Hematology to prevent blood cancer. The would be rendering service to needy patients of North Karnataka.
SDM University Vice-Chancellor Niranjan Kumar, Executive Director Padmalatha Niranjan, Director (administration) Saketh Shetty, V Jeevandhar Kumar, and others were present.
