HUBBALLI: Shaheen Group of Institutions will hold online tests for meritorious students to continue their education through a scholarship.
The tests will be held at taluk-level of the states to help more than 1,000 deserving students from financially backward families complete their higher education, including pre-university college through the scholarship, said a press release from the group.
Admission test for Shaheen Scholarship Group (SSG 2021) will be held for different categories of students. As per the New Education Policy, children studying in Class 8 are eligible for the test for the course in Shaheen School, including integrated coaching for UPSC, CLAT, NEET, NTSE, JEE and KVPY examinations.
Students in Class 10 may write the admission test for the Science, Arts and Commerce fields in Shaheen Independent PU College. Students in II PUC (Class 12) may answer the test for BA, BSc and Bcom, which have integrated coaching for CA, UPSC and CLAT examinations.
Shaheen Group has also introduced the Academic Intensive Care Unit (AICU) to help school dropouts in the age group of 10 to 18 years to return to the mainstream of education. There will be a separate test for such students.
Students who have completed Alimiyat in any Madrasa may write the SSG 2021 test for courses including Integrated PUC, with CLAT, exclusive CLAT and UPSC training or any graduation. Those who have completed memorization of the Quran may seek admission to any class, from 8 to 12. The SSG 2021 includes a test for a year-long exclusive UPSC training programme, for those who have completed graduation.
The scholarship tests will be conducted at specified centres in the taluks between February 8 and 11.
The scholarship will be decided as per the performance of the candidates answering the admission tests. Students who excel will get a total waiver of the tuition and hostel fees, said the press release.
