BELAGAVI,Nov 03: Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was seen enjoying tea and toast at a roadside shop on a road trip from Belagavi to Goa recently.
In a video posted on the Instagram handle of Sachin, he is seen enjoying a cup of tea at a roadside stall while travelling on a highway. He interacted with the locals and also shook hands with the owner of the tea stall and even clicked a selfie with him.
Vaiju Nitturkar, owner of the tea stall said, he would never forget that day. He had a celebrity guest. The ‘God of Cricket’ was travelling from Mumbai to Goa and briefly stopped to have a cup of tea at the canteen of Nitturkar located on the outskirts of Belagavi at Macche.
Tendulkar himself clicked the selfie with the tea stall owner. “By the way, this is Belgaum-Goa expressway. Chai, enjoy it with ghar karusk. Called toast, hard toast,” Sachin Tendulkar is heard saying in the video.
A luxury car stopped outside my shop. When I saw Mr. Tendulkar and his friends getting out of the car, I was surprised and shocked, Vaiju Nitturkar expressed.
