HUBBALLI,May 11: Believe it or not, a Railway official has been cheated of Rs. 30 Thousand in the name of South Western Railway’s General Manager Sanjeev Kishore!
Railway officer Priya Shetty received a whatsapp message from ‘fake’ Sanjeev Kishore seeking an urgent financial help to buy Amazon Gift card. He (the fraudster) said he was in a important meeting, and will return the amount later.
Since the whatsapp number had photo of Sanjeev Kishore in DP, Priya Shetty transferred the amount without a second thought!
A case has been registered at Hubballi Cyber Police Station.
