HUBBALLI: In order to protest the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation’s inability to repair roads in the twin cities, the Youth Congress acitivists floated paper boats on roads filled with rainwater.
Vidyanagar Block Congress President Rajat Ullagaddimath led the agitation and floated the paper boats near Akshay Park Ravi Nagar petrol bunk in Hubballi on Friday.
The protesters erected effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and District-In-Charge Minister Jagadish Shettar in the water-filled potholes and garlanded.
Ex Mayor Venkatesh Mestri, Maltesh Kulkarni, Mallikarjun Yatgeri, Sunil Mathapati, Manikanth Gudihal and others participated in the protest.
