Hubballi, April 30: One person died and another was seriously injured as the lift they were moving in suddenly collapsed at Srinath Complex, located on Neelijin Road in Cotton Market in the city on Monday afternoon.
According to media reports, the deceased has been identified as Manjunath Channaveeraiah Kuravattimath (32) of Yaraguppi village in Kundagol taluk. Suresh Kundralli of Mangala Oni near Karwar Road Police Quarters is injured.
According to a report, the deceased was working in a Pharma company. He had gone to Srinath Complex to pick up the parcel. When he boarded the lift, its chain was reportedly cut and it fell to the ground. As a result, Manjunath died on the spot and Suresh was seriously injured.
A case has been registered in the suburban police station.
