BENGALURU: Amid the sudden emergence of Covid-19’s Omicron variant in Karnataka, the state government imposed new Covid restrictions.
At a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, the government banned all functions, events in educational institutions.
According to the new guidelines, only 500 people will be allowed to be invited in wedding ceremonies across the state.
Revenue Minister R. Ashoka said that people would be allowed into threatres, multiplexes, shopping malls only if they are fully vaccinated.
The guidelines also state the parents of students who are attending schools and colleges, shall also have received both doses of the COVID vaccine.
