DHARWAD, May 07: Voting for the 18th Lok Sabha completed peacefully in Dharwad constituency with no untoward incidents on Thursday.
The constituency recorded 74.35% voter turnout. Figures reveal that voters in rural areas outnumbered those in Urban as Kalaghatagi recorded the highest polling while Hubli-Dharwad Central stood at lowest.
Kalaghatgi recorded 82.26 percent voting, Kundagol 80 percent, Shiggaon 77.24 percent, Navalgund 76.92 percent, Dharwad 75.83 percent, Hubli-Dharwad East 73.48 percent, Hubli-Dharwad West 67.16 percent, and Hubli-Dharwad Central recorded lowest voter turnout with 66.85 percent voting.
Poll staff have started reaching back to mustering centers with EVMs.
The counting of voting will be held on June 4.
