HUBBALLI: A loaded truck rammed into the BRTS corridor and overturned near Shantiniketan at Bhairidevara Koppa in Hubballi in the early hours of Saturday.
According to locals, the accident took place at around 4:30 am on Saturday. They said that driver failed to notice the speed breaker and hit it. Subsequently, the truck rammed into the BRTS corridor and overturned.
Front portion of the truck was completely damaged in the accident while the driver has been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Speaking to Hubballi Times, Zaid Goundi, a resident of Shantiniketan said that the speed-breakers near Shantiniketan and Bhairidevarkoppa Darga have poor visibility. “Authorities should install reflective studs or stickers to caution the road-users,” he urged.
