Karnataka Government Issues Fresh COVID Guidelines For Eid-ul-Adha

Bengaluru: Karnataka Government on Friday issued new COVID-19 guidelines in the wake of Eid-ul-Adha which will be celebrated on July 21, 2021.

In the fresh set of guidelines, members of the Muslim community have been prohibited to offer Eid prayers at the Eidgahs across Karnataka. While they  are allowed to offer the prayers at mosque, only 50 people are allowed to pray Eid namaz at a time.

The guidelines further instructs mosques to offer prayers in multiple congregation in case more people turn up at mosques.

People aged above 65 years and children below 10 years have also been barred from taking part in the Eid prayers at mosques.

Other COVID guidelines including wearing of mask, physical distancing and sanitization have also been made mandatory at mosques.
