DHARWAD, April 19: Students Islamic Organisation of India’s Dharwad district unit has condemned the murder of Neha Hiremath.
In a poster released, SIO Dharwad district president Bilal Khan said, “The murder of a student at the BVB College in Hubballi is alarming regarding educational institutions. In this times of grief we stand with the family of the student and we strongly condemn this act.”
“The police department has already arrested the suspect, we seek appropriate investigation and punishment. We oppose the calls for college shutdowns as it is politically motivated and intended at spreading hatred and animosity among students,” Bilal Khan said.
“We urge students not to succumb to any form of ideological biases and to conduct themselves as per the law. Campuses are places for mutual learning, and efforts must be made to prevent such horrific incidents,” SIO district president urged.
