HDMC Election: Live Update

12:30:: 18.18 percent citizens turned for voting in the twin cities till 11 am. MLA Arvind Bellad along with this family members exercised his franchise.

10:00:: 7.73 percent voters have exercised their franchise till 9:00 am.

Polling to elect 82-members for the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation has begun at 842 polling stations across the twin cities on Friday morning.

There are a total of 8,17,425 voters, including 4,11,075 women, as per the release of DIPR. Polling is being held from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. A total of 3,074 staff, including 336 reserve staff, are on election duty at polling stations.

To avoid any untoward incident, as many as 1,486 police are also deployed at polling stations. Higher security and video surveillance are arranged at 108 polling stations which are identified as vulnerable.

None Of The Above (NOTA) option is also available in the EVM this time.
