Gold, Silver Rates Fall Overnight; Rupee 12 Paise Higher
New Delhi, February 24: The price of gold fell by Rs 148 in the capital, following overnight sale in global prices as well as appreciation of the rupee, said HDFC Securities.
Gold, which had been Rs 46,455 for 10 gm in the last session, is now priced at Rs 46,307.
Silver rate declined from Rs 69,562 a kg in the last session to Rs 68,676 – a fall of Rs 886.
Tapan Patel, senior analyst (commodities) of HDFC Securities, has said that there was an increase of 12 paise in spot rupee against the dollar.
Gold prices were being traded at US$ 1,807 an ounce, silver was nearly $ 27.63, he added.
