Eid-Milad Holiday Declared on September 29

HUBBALLI, Sept 26: Dharwad district administration has declared Eid-Milad holiday on Friday, September 29 in the limits of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation.

The official government holiday of Eid-Milad, which was originally scheduled for the 28th September, has been shifted to the 29th September in the limits of Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, said Gurudatt Hegde, Deputy Commissioner, Dharwad.

It can be recalled here that Eid Milad procession and Ganapati idol processions were earlier scheduled to be taken out on the same day, on September 28.

In this background, Anjuman-E-Islam office-bearers, Mutavallis, religious leaders, and leaders of the Muslim community decided to hold Eid Milad processions on September 29. Anjuman-E-Islam Hubballi President Mohammed Yousuf Savanur had announced this decision at Ganesh Chaturthi-Eid Milad peace meeting orgaised by Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissionerate on Sunday.
