Belagavi, March 01: Belagavi Market police have held two in a case of using a man to pose as oneself and pass the physical test held for the post of a policeman.
Lakshman Venkappa Hosakote of Kalliguddi and Sachin Ashok Gaggari of Maruti Galli in Gokak taluk are the men arrested.
The test for the armed police constables was held at the district parade grounds. Hoskote got a pass for himself through external help to undergo the test. His name was added to the temporary list of candidates selected. When he came to the district office to join duty, the documents on him were checked and he was made to undergo the physical test.
The video footage of the candidates selected undergoing the physical test, however, shows a replacement for Hoskote.
The Belagavi Market police registered a case and have arrested two men.
