DHARWAD,Aug 12: residents are advised to prepare for a temporary power disruption as a scheduled maintenance work is set to take place at the 110/11 kv power transmission unit in Lakmanhalli. The maintenance work is part of a tri-monthly routine and is essential to ensure the reliable functioning of the power infrastructure.
The power disruption is expected to affect several wards within Dharwad City. Starting from 10:00 am, on August 13, the maintenance work will continue until 4:00 pm, during which time residents in the affected areas are likely to experience a power outage.
The areas that will be impacted include Toll Naka, Nagarkar Colony, Laxmi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kalghatgi Road, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Saraswati Nagar, Tejeswi Nagar, Sangolli Rayanna Nagar, Giri Nagar, Gurudev Nagar, Vidyagiri, Rajatgiri, Y S Colony, Lakmanhalli, Gopalpur, Daneshwari Nagar, and Sanmati Marg.
In addition, the power disruption will extend to Station Road, Nuggikeri, Vivekanand Nagar, JSS, Madarmaddi, Jannath Nagar, P B Road, Hosayellapur, Shivanand Nagar, Daroga Oni, Sangam Circle, Tikare Road, CBT, Tippu Circle. Surrounding villages including Govankoppa, Kalkeri, Maradagi, Mansur, Mangundi, and Rayapur will also be affected.
Residents are encouraged to take necessary precautions and make arrangements to minimize inconvenience during the maintenance period. The maintenance work is aimed at enhancing the overall power infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted service in the future.
