HUBBALLI: The district on Sunday recorded the highest daily count of 100 new COVID-19 cases, it is highest one-day rise in past several months.
According to the bulletin issued by the department of health and family welfare on Sunday evening, two coronavirus patients died on Saturday, taking the death toll to 630.
Also, 56 patients were recovered and discharged from hospitals. With this, the total number of discharged patients has reached to 22,190.
The number of active patients is 417, and seven of them are being treated in the ICUs.
