Dharwad, February 22: Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil has been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the district hospital in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, the officer said that of the 28,750 health workers who had been registered for vaccination, 14,191 workers have been given one dose, while 4,156 have been given two doses so far.
He added that, now, a total of 8,775 employees of the Revenue and Rural Development Departments, HDMC and local organisations have been registered for vaccination. Up to 3,292 people – which adds up to 37.5% people – have been vaccinated, said the deputy commissioner and added that the others too should visit the centres and take the doses soon.
Information on the vaccination procedure has been provided to the people registered through SMS several times, but some have not been able to visit the centres. A map up campaign is being undertaken for such people to go through the vaccination process on February 22, 23 and 24, said Patil.
