Condemned Abusive Words Used Against HM During Neha Hirmath Protest
HUBBALLI, April 23: Various Dalit organisations staged a massive protest in the City on Tuesday demanding immediate arrest of Bidar Municipal Council member Virupaksha Gadagi under SC, ST Atrocities Act for using abusive words against Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara.
A protest march led by MLA Prasada Abbey was held from Ambedkar Circle to Suburban Police Station. The protesters demanded that the municipal councilors who insulted the Home Minister should be arrested and deported immediately.
“Virupaksha passed abusive remarks against the home minister’s family during the protest staged in Bidar against Neha Hiremath’s murder.
He has insulted the Home Minister. A case should be registered against Virupaksha and strict action should be taken,” they urged.
Gurunath Ullikashi, Dooraj Manikuntala, Sham Jadhav, Chetana Hirekerur, Ganesh Tagargunti, Rajani Bijawad, Imtiyaz Bijapur, Farooq Shekh, Srinivasa Belavadi, Santhosh Chalavadi, Mahesh Hanjagi, and many others participated in the protest.
