Hubballi,June 26: “ All Works of Hubballi – Dharwad Smart City should be completed within next year, No Compromise in the quality of Works undertaken under the project “ – Said CM Basavaraj Bommai here today.
The work on the ‘much sought after’ Hubballi-Ankola railway project will commence very shortly as it is in the stage of getting all environment clearances, He added.
Speaking after inaugurating and dedicating different developmental and infrastructure projects of worth 34 crores at a programme organised at Govt Model Higher Primary School at Ghantikeri, Hubballi he said – “ Under Hubballi – Dharwad Smart city projects, works of Rs.555 crores have been completed and the rest of the works should be completed within the timeline of one year and no compromise in quality of the work and action will be taken against the contractors failing to ensure quality in their project work, – He also instructed the officers through this programme.
As I am born and brought up in Hubballi, I know the problems of majority of the areas of the city, strictly no discrimination in the developmental works. Laying foundation for the establishment of Jayadeva Cardiac Centre at Hubballi will be taken in the month of August. An order has been passed for the budget on creating 1 lakh employment opportunities by establishing FMCG cluster, he said.
We have got administrative approvals for Tumkur –Davangere – and Dharwad – Belagavi Direct Rail lines and also for land acquisition.
As per the demand of farming community of this region, a veterinary polyclinic will be established, he assured.
Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Coal and Mines of India, Prahlad Joshi spoke on the occasion and said – the population both in urban and rural areas is rapidly increasing. Accordingly the basic facilities are being developed, PM has reserved 3.6 lakh crores for the drinking water supply project through taps to houses across the country and doubling of rail line between Hubballi – Dharwad and Bengaluru shall be completed within four and half years.
Presiding over the function, on the occasion, Prasad Abbayya said – Smart City Developmental works of 197 crore in Hubballi – Dharwad East Legislative constituency are under progress out of which completed works of 34 crores are dedicated to the public by the CM today.
