BELAGAVI: Members of Akhil Bharat Christ Okkuta have decided to protest in Belagavi on December 17, opposing the anti-conversion bill to be tabled during the winter session of the State legislature at Suvarna Vidhan Soudha.
Speaking to mediapersons, Okkut legal adviser M Ramesh said that they have sought permission from the City Police for staging a protest.
He also said, “Allegations of Christians converting people from other faith are false. The Constitution has given everyone the right to religion, and the bill is aimed to curtail the rights. We shall stage protest opposing the bill,” Ramesh added.
