HUBBALLI: A CCTV footage of the bike accident which left two youths dead on Wednesday night in front of President Hotel near Unkal Lake in the City has gone viral on the social media.
The deceased have been identified as Manjunath Gollar (20), a resident of KEB quarters located on Karwar Road in Hubballi; and Haveri Vidyanagar’s Girish Gangadhariah Kabbinakantimath (20). Dharwad’s Itagatti resident Yellappa gurusiddappa Solarguppa (20) is injured in the accident.
According to reports, the incident took place at around 1’oclock on Wednesday night when the trio was riding a Bajaj Pulsur bike after attending a birthday party of a friend. Two of them died on the spot when their bike rammed into a High Mast Lighting pole after rider lost control over the two-wheeler.
North Traffic police have registered a case in this regard.
