Bees Attack Students at School in Hubballi
HUBBALLI: A couple of students appearing for the SSLC examination, teachers, a woman police constable, and a parent have been injured in an attack by honeybees at a private school in Hubballi on Monday.
The incident took place near St. Michael School, located at Keshwapur in Hubballi where SSLC students were writing the Mathematics examination. A swarm of honeybees started attacking them when the exam had started.
According to Keshwapur police inspector Jagadish Hanchinal, a woman police constable Vani Dyamanavar, attached to Keshwapur police station has been shifted to KIMS for treatment. Similarly, Bhuvaneshwari, who had come to drop her ward to the examination hall was also stung by the bees.
According to the authorities, a couple of students and teachers who were also stung by the bees returned to school after the initial treatment.
