Bangalore Metro Opens Tender from Today

HUBBALLI, Mar 1: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has invited open tenders for extending the metro from northern Bengaluru’s Madavara to Tumakuru under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The tender document for the metro extension for the distance of 52.41 km can be downloaded from March 1 onwards, and the last date to submit the bids is April 2.

The BMRCL has just invited open bids to study the feasibility of extending the metro till Tumakuru.

The government will approve or reject the new line based on the feasibility study. In case of approval, the BMRCL will go for a Detailed Project Report (DPR), DH reported.

  1. Why does the government do certain project to unnecessarily use our taxes money to project which is not important at all.. what is the need to do the feasible study. When we know that it’s not feasible. Let’s start with definitions. What is a metro rail? A rail within a city. Now the need of the hour is more metros, better public transport and making personal vehicles be avoided on the road in Bengaluru.
