HUBBALLI, July 6: A team of Hubballi police, in a late night operation, arrested a youth for carrying a sword at the Amargol APMC Yard on Friday night.
The arrested have been identified as tippanna Shishanalli (25), a resident of Rayapur in Dharwad.
Based on a tip off, APMC-Navanagar police conducted a raid at around 12:30 am on Friday night. The team intercepted a Tata Intra Goods vehicle and seized a two-feet-long sword. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
A police press release said , “Strict legal action will be taken against individuals found roaming with deadly weapons in Hubballi-Dharwad. The actions that disturb peace or create fear among citizens, will not be tolerated.”
