17 Candidates Remain in Fray in Dharwad. Check Their Names Here

DHARWAD, April 22: With eight independent candidates withdrawing their nomination papers, 17 candidates remained in the fray in the Dharwad Lok Sabha Constituency.

According to a press release issued by Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu on Monday, out of 25 candidates, eight candidates withdraw their nominations and 17 are left in the fray. Today, April 22, was the last date to withdraw the nominations.

Veena Janagi, Praveen Kumar Madar, Ravi Patnashetty, Riyaz Sheikh, Dingaleshwar Mahaswamy, Sivananda Muthannavara, Rajasekharaiah Kantimatha and Venkatesa Acharya Mannura have withdrawn their candidature.

Pralhad Joshi from Bharatiya Janata Party, Vinod Asuti from Indian National Congress Party and Javeed Ahmed Belgaonkar from Bharatiya Ekta Party, Takappa Yallappa Kalala from Prahara Janashakti Party, Nagaraja Karennavara from Karnataka Rashtra Samithi Party, Bugadi Basavalingappa Erappa from Uttam Prajakiya Party, Muhammad Ismail Mukti from Bharatiya Prajegala Kalyan Party, Vinod Dasharath Ghodake from Proudest Bloc India Party, Venkatesh Prasada H. from Indian Labor Party (Ambedkar, Pule), Sharanbasava Gonavar from Socialist Unity Center of India (Communist) Party and Bankapura Shaukat Ali from Tipu Sultan Party will test their destiny on May 7.

Dr. Gurappa H. Imrapura, Praveena H. Hattenavara, Balanagowdra Mallikarjunagowda, Raju Anantasa Nayakavadi, Shakeela Ahmad D Mulla and S.S. Patil are contesting as independent candidates.
