13 Persons Dead As Maharashtra Bus Falls In Narmada River

Bhopal ( MP), 18th July 2022: A bus carrying passengers has fell into the river in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district. 13 passengers have killed in the accident, while 15 people have been pulled out alive.

The bus was going from Indore to Amalner (Jalgaon) when it fell into the Narmada river at Khalghat in the district. There were 50 passengers on board. The death toll may rise. Due to the strong current in Narmada, relief and rescue operations are facing difficulties.

The accident happened on the Agra-Mumbai (AB Road) highway. This road connects Indore to Maharashtra. The place of occurrence is 80 kms from Indore. The Sanjay Setu bridge from which the bus fell is built on the border of two districts Dhar and Khargone. Half part is in Khalghat (Dhar)and half part is in Khaltaka (Khargone).

NDRF teams from Indore and Dhar have reached the spot.
