Mumbai: The number of active Covid-19 patients who are undergoing treatment has increased by almost 89 per cent compared to last month in Mumbai.
In Maharashtra’s Thane, the civic administration announced lockdown from March 13 to 31 in 11 hotspots in the wake of rising cases of the Covid-19. Andheri (West), Chembur, Govandi and other five civic wards are major contributors to active caseload in the city.
According to a PTI report, the lockdown order was issued by Thane Municipal Commissioner Vipin Sharma. “All restrictions that were in place during the nationwide lockdown declared earlier would be in force during this time as well,” the order reportedly said.
