Zero Traffic During Movement Of Presidential Convoy In Hubballi

HUBBALLI, Sept 24: Vehicular movement will be disrupted to ensure zero traffic during the movement of President Droupadi Murmu’s convoy from and to Hubli Airport on Monday, September 26.

Addressing a press conference at Karnataka Gymkhana Ground in Deshpande Nagar here on Saturday, Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Mayor Iresh Anchatageri said, “Zero traffic will be ensured along the route of President Murmu’s convoy,” and added that later the roads would be opened for public.

“Preparations for the program are almost complete. A memento of Sri Siddharoodha and books about the seer in Hindi and English languages will be gifted to the president along with the traditional Dharwad Pedha,” Anchatageri added.

“Governor, Chief Minister, Union Minister, MLAs, corporators, former mayors, former corporators, doctors, senior citizens and others have been invited in this program. As many as five thousand seats have been arranged. It is requested to accommodate 27 people on the stage. President’s etiquette and Covid rules will be followed, the mayor informed.

Corporation Commissioner Dr. B. Gopalakrishna, Deputy Mayor Uma Mukund, Tippanna Majjagi, Rajarao Mannekuntla, corporators Veeranna Savadi, Shivu Hiremath, Rupashetti, Nazir Ahmed Honyal, and others were present.
