KOPPAL: A woman was allegedly raped and her husband was beaten up in Gangavati in Koppal district.
In a complaint given to the police, the woman has alleged that a gang of six men thrashed her husband when the couple was waiting at the bus stop to reach home.
After attacking her husband, the gang forcibly took the woman to a park where she was raped by the main accused Lingaraj with the help of others. Later, the gang fled leaving the victim behind.
According to police, the incident took place on the night of February 8 and they have arrested six accused in this connection.
