Woman Burnt Alive As Gas Pipeline Explodes In Bengaluru

At least one woman was burnt alive and several others injured after a gas pipeline exploded in an apartment near Devarachikkana Halli in Bengaluru on Tuesday evening.

The incident took place at the Ashrith Apartments. The fire soon spread across three flats in the building after the explosion. Furniture and other valuables have been gutted in the flames.

According to media reports, there is speculation that a child may have died in the fire, but officials are yet to confirm it. Five persons have been rescued so far. 

Several others have sustained injuries when they were trying to come out of the building.

The Fire Brigade team has reached the spot and is trying to douse the fire. More people are suspected to have stuck inside the building and attempts to rescue them are underway.
